The Fan Belt Tensioner is designed to maintain the correct tension on the engine's drive belt, helping ensure efficient operation of belt-driven components such as the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, and water pump where applicable. By maintaining proper belt alignment and tension, it helps reduce belt wear, noise, and slippage.
